Your journey will begin at the farm of don Ricardo, a local farmer who has been in the area for decades. Your guides will lead to a mountain vista straddling the ocean and the picturesque lagoon. With plenty of photo opportunities and rest stops, our guides and rangers are dedicated to ensuring your safety and comfort throughout your trip.
The next stop of your tour will be in the town of Olomega. Here you will depart on a boat tour of the breathtaking Laguna de Olomega. On the Lake you will stop for lunch at a local lakeside restaurant and you will then have the chance to explore an islet in addition to a mangrove forest, swamps, and petroglyphs.
This trip will also give you the change to learn about the flora and fauna one of the world's most biodiverse countries . From wetland birds to foret snakes, parrots, and maybe even critically endangered spider monkeys, you will witness wildlife in its natural habitat. You will also travel through tropical dry forests and freshwater wetlands.
The mountain hike will be guided by two local guides. One representing local young adult who has received guiding training, and the second a Paso Pacifico community ranger who looks out your safety from snakes and ants. Don Ricardo, owner of the farm will also be present to support your visit, especially when seeing farming activities. A ice cold carbonated fountain drink will be offered to you during the tour. Payments are made in US dollar cash to don Ricardo or your guide at the start of the hiking portion of the tour. Funds will be shared equally.
Your boat driver and guide will meet you at la Estrechura dock to take you on your tour. The tour includes scenoc views and up-close encounters with aquatic birds. During the tour, you can make a stop to see the petroglyphs. A lunch of freshly grilled lake fish will be provided at a lakeside restaurant.
